Since the creation of the first Polarity Therapy Associations in the late 1970's and early 1980's most associations have offered a registration process for members after they have completed their training. The initials granted such as, for example, RPT and RPP are normally only granted for usage whilst you are still a full member of the relevant association. If you discontinue your membership you are expected to stop using the initials. To many teachers and long time practitioners of Polarity Therapy this situation has seemed unfairly discriminatory or unjust.
The International Polarity Education Alliance was created in 2010, initiated by a collective vision of a harmonious group of like-minded individuals coming together in the spirit of friendship and understanding with a thirst for sharing knowledge and experience of the natural health system they all practice and love.
It was founded by a committee of elders and runs as a 'not for profit basis' to serve those who care to join us. The core founding group consisted of Phil Young, John Beaulieu, Suellen Trumbour-Cheney, Heather Principe, Janice Marie Durand, Linda Diane Feldt, Richard Chandler, Carol Ann Lucia and Ellie Simmons, some of whom are sadly are no longer with us.
We are also grateful to the members who have formed the recognition approvals panel committee over the years: Richard Chandler, Suellen Trumbour-Cheney, Heather Principe, Deirdre Young, Liz Ferrara and Ruby Hand
The website designed and maintained by Phil Young & Morag Campbell. The day to day running of the IPEA, which includes, general administration, validation of new members, support for Gatherings, production of the newsletters, IPEA journals and point of contact is undertaken by Phil and Morag.
In 2012 the resource collection from the Polarity Network was enfolded into the IPEA and added to over time, now providing the IPEA with the largest collection of Polarity resources in the world.
